In the first quarter of 2022, the beauty retail sector on Android in Ecuador exhibited diverse trends across the top five applications. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights the performance of Avon - Catálogo, Cyzone - Catálogo, BEAUTY CREATIONS, Perfumerías DRUNI, and FOREO For You.

Avon - Catálogo saw a notable increase in weekly downloads, starting with 56 downloads in late December and peaking at 138 downloads in the week of January 24. The app maintained strong download numbers throughout the quarter, with a slight dip to 93 downloads at the end of January before stabilizing around the 120-130 range in subsequent weeks.

Cyzone - Catálogo experienced a steady growth pattern in downloads. Beginning with 49 downloads in late December, the app saw a peak of 91 downloads in the week of March 21. The download numbers fluctuated slightly but generally increased over the quarter, ending with 79 downloads in the last week of March.

BEAUTY CREATIONS had a more modest performance. Starting with 30 downloads in early January, the app had a peak of 57 downloads in mid-January. Following a few weeks of lower numbers, it saw another rise to 43 downloads in the last week of March.

Perfumerías DRUNI showed a steady increase in both downloads and active users. Weekly downloads rose from 15 in late January to a peak of 51 in early March. Active users also followed an upward trend, growing from 32 in early February to 92 in mid-March, before stabilizing around 88 by the end of the quarter.

FOREO For You demonstrated consistent performance in active users, starting the quarter with 337 and maintaining numbers around 290-330 throughout the period. Downloads were relatively stable, with a slight dip in mid-March but generally hovering around 20-35 downloads per week.
